Kindred Necklace by Murkani x Daisy Hill
In collaboration with MURKANI, the CONNECTED Collection features artworks created by Aboriginal Artist, Daisy Hill. The pieces in this collection represent connection and are a celebration of our relationships with Mother Earth, with loved ones here and passed, with each other and with those who care for us. In celebration of our First Nations people, this collection was conceived to honour the cultural traditions and knowledge that has been passed between generations for thousands of years.
KINDRED – A symbol of harmony that gives us a sense of belonging. A reminder there is nothing more important than those who surround us. Connected as a community and united as one, together we are stronger. The yarning circle and it’s U shape designs symbolise people sitting together. This circle is one of friendship - it never ends.
For every piece sold from our CONNECTED Collection, $5 will be donated to the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF), supporting scholarship opportunities at Partner Schools around the nation. AIEF provides financial and career support to help Indigenous students complete Year 12 and make a successful transition to tertiary studies or employment.
All CONNECTED necklaces come in a gorgeous box with artwork created by Daisy Hill.

JEWELLERY CARE
Gold plating is a process where layers of real gold are applied to the surface of a different material. In our case, we use a 2 micron 18 KT Yellow Gold and Rose Gold plate onto brass. While we use an excellent hand plating process with a 2-micron gold plate which is very long-wearing, it is still a plate and hence could wear off eventually as it is not solid gold.
To take care of your gold-plated jewellery and to maximize its lifespan, follow these simple tips:
• Do not wear your gold-plated jewellery when doing activities that involve heat or moisture, such as any activities involving chlorinated and sea water, exercising and anything else that would get your jewellery wet or exposed to extreme heat.
• Apply lotion and perfume before your put your jewellery on. So your jewellery should always go on last.
• Store your gold-plated jewellery separately to avoid scratches.
• To prevent tarnishing, please store your gold-plated pieces in an airtight jewellery box, pouch, or a plastic zip-lock bag. We prefer plastic zip lock bags. They may not be glamorous, but they stop the oxygen from getting in and prolong the gold colour of your jewellery.
• To clean and restore the shine to your gold-plated jewellery, you can use jewellery cleaning cloths that are intended for plated jewellery or have it serviced by a professional jeweler. You can also use a Gold Jewellery Cleaning Liquid like the Connoisseur Gold Jewellery Cleaning Liquid, specially designed for gold plated jewellery.
• To clean the jewellery, follow the instructions on the packaging in terms of how long to dip the product into the liquid cleaner as this time may vary from brand to brand of liquid cleaner.
